What Are Instant Requests And How To Accept Open Jobs?

What are instant requests?

An instant service request is a general request that is sent to all zenGivers in your area on a first-come-first-serve basis. The readiest available zenGiver will accept the request and complete the service. Note: you are not required to accept all instant requests. We encourage you to take the requests that work with your skills, schedule and work areas.


How do I accept an instant request? - App and Desktop

You will be notified by app push notifications and email that an instant request has come in. Both will have links to view the details of the request and access the “Accept” button. Simply click the link, review the full details of the booking and click “Accept”.

From Your App: 

If you want to view open instant requests from your app, simply press the "Instant" tab at the bottom and you will see any open requests and the booking card.

From Your Account:

You can view and accept bookings from your logged in account under the “Bookings” tab or the “Instant Service Bookings” tab. You will see a booking card with the details of the service being requested and the buttons to respond to the booking.


Accepting Bookings In Account


When a zenGiver accepts a task, they are making a commitment to their customer to complete it, and provide exceptional service.


Once you have accepted a task:

  1. Use the zenGOT chat function to message the customer and confirm the details of the job. For example, you can confirm the time, location, and scope of the work; determine if you need to bring any special tools or equipment; and find out if there are any other details you need to know before arriving at the job.
  2. Once you have communicated with the customer and fully understand the task, confirm that you have the ability and equipment necessary to successfully complete the task. If not, you will need to notify the customer that you do not have the expertise or tools to complete the task and ask that they kindly book with another zenGiver.


How do I view unclaimed open instant requests?

You can view open instant requests in your logged in account under the “Instant Service Requests” tab. If there are none listed, then there are no open instant requests in your area. Keep an eye out for new ones coming in by notification to your text messages and email.


I’ve clicked the link to accept but it doesn’t give me an option to/already accepted instant requests

Instant requests can be accepted in less than a minute by one of the zenGivers using the platform. If you click through to accept and the booking says “Already Claimed” or you do not see the “Accept” button, the booking is not available to be accepted and you are not to attend the booking. We are working hard to bring you more volume so that everyone has plenty of opportunities to accept instant requests.

Note that these are flat hourly rates and are subject to change at any time. Note that these rates are prior to the 25% zenGOT commission on first time customer bookings and 20% commission on repeat customer bookings.


Your profile rates do not apply for instant requests; they only apply for direct requests that are made with you specifically. If you determine that the flat rates for instant services are not a good fit, note that you are not required to accept instant requests and can choose to ignore these notifications or turn them off altogether. Other zenGivers may want to pick up these bookings instead.
