How To Book A Service

Booking a service with zenGOT is a two-step process that is designed to give you control and be quick and easy. Start from the order page and select or search for the service you would like to request. You will be directed to the service page where you can read more about each service, take a look at service specific FAQs, see the top zenGivers that provide that service, and more. On the right-hand side of this page, you will see a short form where you can enter your service information.

Address field: This field is tied to the location function of your booking. Start by entering your address without your unit number (if any) and select the appropriate address from the drop-down menu.

 

Tell us about the job (service details): This section is where you can give more details about the service that the zenGiver will be completing. Put as much as you like here (the more detail the better) but here are are a couple tips:

 

  • If your service requires a particular piece of equipment or certain supplies, make sure to mention that in the service details.
  • Don’t include personal information or contact information.
  • You can message further details with the zenGiver after they have accepted the booking.

 

Duration: Each service has a minimum number of hours that you must book. We also set out a recommended number of hours for each service. For example, for a standard cleaning, a customer must book for a minimum of 2 hours. We encourage customers to choose the number of hours that realistically suits the job, as long as you book the minimum number of hours or more.

 

If you don’t know how long a service will take, you can make your best estimate and discuss the requirements of the service in more detail with your zenGiver through the chat function. If you and your zenGiver determine that more or less time is needed than what you originally booked, the length of the service can be adjusted on the day of the service by using the Extend Booking function on the customer dashboard.

 

Date: Select the service date through the calendar function on the order form.

 

Time: Select the time you would like the service to take place using the drop-down.

 

  • If you know what day you want to book the service but are flexible on the time, you may use the As soon as possible option - your zenGiver will suggest a time that works and you approve it.
  • If you are flexible on both the date and time of the service you may use the As Soon As Possible - Any Day (I’m flexible) option in the time drop-down - your zenGiver will suggest a date and time that works and you approve it.

 

*The benefit to using these features is that, since you’re not setting a specific timeframe to book - more zenGivers will be available for you to choose from.

 

How often would you like us to come?: Do you require regularly occurring services? If so - you’re in luck! Select a frequency that fits with your schedule and bookings will automatically renew once they are completed. Ordering recurring services allows you to take advantage of frequency discounts for every service provided on a recurring contract. Note: standard cleanings must be booked as a recurring service.

  • Weekly - 15% off every service
  • Bi-weekly - 10% off every service
  • Monthly - 5% off every service

Email: Enter the email address that you would like your service notifications and receipt to be sent to.


Select the blue Request Service Now button to order an instant service request (click here to learn about instant requests) or you can select a specific zenGiver by selecting the Click here to select your zenGiver option below that button (click here to learn about direct requests). If you select the Request Service Now button, you will be directed to the checkout; if you choose the Click here to select your zenGiver option, you will be directed to a list of zenGivers to choose from and then directed to the checkout.

This page will allow you to see your booking details and the total cost of the booking. You will need to add your name and phone number here and any promo codes or gift card codes, if applicable. Lastly, enter your financial information that you will be using to transact the order once the service has been provided (note: you are not paying at this time - only preparing your payment method for after the service had been completed).

If you are making a direct booking (choosing the zenGiver you’d like to complete the booking), you can “opt-in” for your booking to automatically convert to an instant service request if the zenGiver you select is unable to accept. This means that if the zenGiver you’ve booked directly isn’t available to complete the service, we will send an instant service request to all eligible zenGivers in your area and the first available zenGiver to accept the job gets it. If your timeline is limited for the service, this is highly recommended and it can help keep your experience convenient by saving you from the need to book again.

 

Do I have to register as a customer after making a booking?

No. We automatically generate an account under the email that you use for your booking. As soon as your booking has been issued, you will receive an email with a link to the login page and your temporary password. After logging in with this password, you will be asked to change it to a password of your own.

 

How do I log into my account after making a booking?

When you issue a booking with us for the first time, we automatically generate an account under the email that you use for your booking. After your booking request has been submitted, you can click the link in your service request confirmation email to log into your account to view the booking, adjust the booking, contact your zenGiver, change your personal settings, etc. As soon as your booking has been issued, you will receive an email with a link to the login page and your temporary password. After logging in with this password, you will be asked to change it to a password of your own.

 

The form won’t accept my address:

This field is tied to location functions for your booking or profile and must be selected from the drop-down. Start by entering your address without your unit number (if any) and select the appropriate address from the drop-down.

 

I am trying to book a service and I am not seeing the zenGiver I want in the “Select a zenGiver” listing:

This is likely due to an incompatibility between the time, day or location you are requesting and what the zenGiver has available in their profile. Remember that, if you’ve worked with a zenGiver before via an instant service request, they may have accepted that outside of their selected work areas and availability because the instant service request overrides these when notifying zenGivers. The best solution is to search for your zenGiver in the explore zenGivers page. You can then book them through their page directly or identify if they do not have your area included in their service areas. You can ask them to add your service area if your messaging is still open with them or you can Contact Us for assistance in asking them to open their service areas.
